‘Tis the season for me to have very little spare time. However, over the course of a few days, I managed to respond to a Draw This In Your Style challenge. The Ivy Foxes challenge was set by an artist who goes by Vossanova on Instagram and I thought it would be a fun experiment for me to try and draw them since their style is so distinctive and very different from my own and because animals aren’t a frequent subject of mine. I am not satisfied with the end result because there is such a massive gap between the image I had in my head and what appeared on paper – turns out I am not very adept at drawing foxes – but I found it very relaxing to draw all of that ivy – hence I got very carried away with it. I had fun drawing it and really that is the most important thing.
Those foxes sure look like they are having fun !
Thank you!

Thank you. We also have foxes that visit our property. Their den is in a neighbor’s backyard but they like to snooze near our shed some afternoons. I think that is one of the reasons why attempt this particular challenge appealed to me, because I find foxes to be fascinating creatures.
Yes, me too. The ones we have, their den is back behind us across the drainage creek, but they are here almost every day, and I love to see them loping across the grass.
Very nice…both the fox and the i
Thank you!
Love the playful expressions on the foxes and the playful pattern of ivy!! What a pleasant image!!!! ❤
Thank you. I am glad you like it.
I really like it, I think you do yourself a disservice!
Thank you! I am always my own worst critic because I, of course, know what vision I had in my head and the disconnect between what I actually produced. It can be a source of frustration. I don’t think this drawing is a failure but it isn’t quite what I wanted.
